Kent Klineman's Acting Workshop in Hollywood

This class is designed for actors looking to deepen
their craft In a safe nurturing envirorment.
We will do the exercises that Sanford Meisner created for actors to create deep spontaneous connection between scene parnters.
We will practice the repetition game and the Meisner based object work in such a way that actors can refresh their instruments and learn to be present and spontaneous in their work.
We will also delve into the voice work of Kristin Linklater to help actors with the use of their voice and their body. Actors train their bodies and voices to be communicative instruments. Actors who take this class will learn new tools to use to
improve their vocal resonance and power. Actors will
learn how to promote relaxation in the body and focus in the mind when
speaking or singing.
Kent Klineman's Bio
Kent Klineman played Stanley in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of Death of a Salesman starring Brian Dennehy. He reprised the role here in LA at the Ahmanson and for the Showtime television production that earned Brian Dennehy a Golden Globe, a SAG award and an Emmy nomination. Kent appeared in the ABC mid-season pilot, "The Court," starring Sally Field, and was seen as Dr. Bill Babylon on ABC's "The Practice". Kent graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Theater. He studied acting at New York's Neighborhood Playhouse with Sanford Meisner and studied voice with Kristin Linklater as a member of Shakespeare and Company. Kent has taught in New York at Manhattan Theater Club, Theater for a New Audience and Vassar College's Powerhouse Theater, and in Chicago at The Goodman School of Drama and ActOne Studios. Kent currently teaches Acting at Pasadena City College and UCLA Extension. His Acting Technique Workshop has been been running in Los Angeles for nine years.
